Ken Womble’s book Inside Act: How Ten Actors Made It—And You Can T00 made a year-end book list for 2014. Chicago Tribune book reviewer Kevin Nance adds the book to his “2014 Books That Flew Under the Radar” in Printers Row Journal. Who knew that falling through the cracks could get your book on a year-end book list, but I love it! Here’s what Kevin Nance of the Chicago Tribune had to say about Womble’s Inside Act:

In a city crawling with theater actors looking for ways to advance, this book — which recounts the career paths of Debra Monk, Tony Yazbeck, John Tartaglia and several other highly successful performers — has obvious relevance. But it’s equally entertaining for the general reader.

inside-act-thumb-siteIt’s wonderful to be included in a list of books from major publishers and prominent small presses. I have to  pinch myself. Thank you, Ken Womble for creating a valuable book for aspiring actors and thank you, Kevin Nance for recognizing it. Yes, it’s not just for actors–it makes great general reading. Each actor’s story and advice applies not only to actors, but to artists, dancers, musicians, and athletes.
