Karen Kondazian’s “Midnight in New York”

June 21, New York, New York: Karen Kondazian finishes the last leg of her East Coast book tour for her new novel THE WHIP. Her last appearance was at Left Bank Books in the West Village of New York City. The West Village is well known for its narrow, cobblestone streets and brick townhouses. The Left Bank Bookstore specializes in modern first editions. It was great to be surrounded by first editions of Ernest Hemingway, Jorge Luis Borges, Pablo Neruda, Joan Didion, Tennessee Williams, Louise Erdrich, Allen Ginsburg and Thomas Wolf. It was a "Midnight in Paris" moment. Karen Kondazian read several selections from her novel THE WHIP, which is inspired by the life of stagecoach driver (whip) Charlotte "Charley" Parkhurst who spent the last thirty years of her life disguised as a man. After reading from THE WHIP, Karen Kondazian engaged the audience in a philosophical discussion about revenge, forgiveness and redemption. It was a lively and engaging conversation from a diverse group of people. All left excited to start reading their copy of THE WHIP. THE WHIP by Karen Kondazian is published by Hansen Publishing Group. THE WHIP is available as a trade paperback and as an ebook. The paperback can be ordered online from Amazon and Barnes & Noble and other online retailers. The ebook version of THE WHIP is available on the Kindle, the Nook, the iPad and other platforms.
