Karen Kondazian’s novel THE WHIP has won a 2013 Eddon Award for Best Book. THE WHIP is inspired by the true story of a woman, Charlotte “Charley” Parkhurst (1812-1879) who lived most of her extraordinary life as a man.

This is the fourth year of the Eddon awards. Theater critic and interviewer Don Grigware sponsors the awards for the Best in LA Theater.
