Randall Westbrook
Randall Westbrook is a faculty member at the School of Education at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. An expert on W.E.B. DuBois, Westbrook’s work has appeared in numerous academic journals and college textbooks such as The Journal for African American History. Westbrook earned his bachelor’s degree from Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC where he received recognition from President Ronald Reagan, the Reverend Jesse Jackson, and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. He earned his master’s and doctoral degrees from Rutgers University; his doctoral study on DuBois focused on DuBois’ contributions to educational thought prior to 1905.
His first book, titled Education and Empowerment, is a collection of writings by DuBois on education, scheduled for release in February 2013.
