J.v.L. Bell’s second mystery novel Denver City Justice received a great review in the November 2020 cover story of  Colorado Country Life, “Mountains of Mysteries, 2020 Book Reviews” featuring Colorado native authors. Julie Simpson said this about the Denver City Justice:

Denver City Justice  is the sequel to J.v.L. Bell’s debut novel The Lucky Hat Mine. The story resumes with Millie and Dom getting married along with the mayhem and murder that ensues. Denver City Justice is a historical novel that takes place in 1860s Colorado. It is rich in frontier lore, interesting Colorado history, and endearingly quirky characters.

J.v.L. Bell is the winner of 2018 Will Rogers Medallion Award, Western Humor, Written for The Lucky Hat Mine. She is a Colorado native who was raised climbing Colorado’s 14,000 foot mountains, exploring old ghost towns, and reading stories about life in the early frontier days.
