Gregg Barrios and the National Book Critics Circle

I had a chance to catch up with our author Gregg Barrios last Saturday in New York City for lunch and a show. Gregg was in New York for the National Book Critics Circle which had met March 7-8 for their annual meeting and awards ceremony. Naturally, we had a great time at lunch discussing books, authors and the theater. Gregg Barrios had now just finished his second year of his three-year term as a board member of the National Book Critics Circle. I remember visiting him at his home in San Antonio in the summer of 2010 and seeing the stacks of books that had begun to arrive for him to review. It looked like a daunting task. Now this author of the play RANCHO PANCHO and a collection of poems entitled LA CAUSA was serving his fellow authors and hanging with the New York literati. Not bad for a guy from San Antonio!
